This country cottage is perfect for a family holiday and has been completely refurbished to showcase its historic features. The sitting room has a working wood-burner in the inglenook fireplace, and a comfy sofa and easy chairs – the whole family can sit in comfort and take advantage of the TV, puzzles and games, making this cottage a home away from home. The kitchen diner has a dining table with bench seating, a dishwasher, condensing tumble dryer, and washing machine. There is a ground-floor WC. On the first floor is the main family bathroom with shower over the bath; a double bedroom; a single bedroom; and a twin bedroom all of which are beautifully decorated. Throughout the house the original features have been maintained and add to the appeal of this country cottage. Cherry Tree Cottage has a good sized, low maintenance terraced patio garden. The top of the garden has paved area large enough to sit out and enjoy a summer meal and the lower part has a rockery. Even when dark outside this garden has lights along the planted areas to add atmosphere and help you find you way.

This beautiful self-catering cottage rests in the heart of the historic village of Lympstone. The property is a few minutes’ walk from the pretty Lympstone harbour and cycle paths to Exmouth and Topsham. The village has four family friendly pub-restaurants, a post office, a café, an ice cream parlour and a well-stocked shop. The Exe Estuary cycle path runs through the village and there are 18 footpaths offering beautiful coastal and country walks. The village train station offers frequent and regular services to Exmouth and Exeter, and there is also a regular bus service so a car is not essential.
Exmouth, with its 2 miles of sandy beach and Jurassic Coast path, is a few minutes away by car and a pleasant 30-minute stroll along the coast path.
Well behaved dogs are permitted (not to be left unattended) by prior arrangement – please discuss at time of booking.(£35 per stay cleaning charge).
Please Note – This historic property does have steep stairs leading to the first floor and also externally leading up through a rockery to the patio. It is also possible to use the log burner in the sitting room but should you wish to do so please inform us of your intention to use this in advance of your stay. There is a £15 charge per week for its use, this does not include fuel (coal, logs etc).
