This family home is situated on the edge of town above the quiet seaside resort of Budleigh Salterton. Seacrest contains – a good-sized open plan sitting and dining room with a log fire and a French door to the garden, new TV, good selection of books; the kitchen has a pantry, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer; utility room with room with a washing machine and small tumble dryer; single bedroom; cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. Upstairs are three bedrooms – master bedroom with king size bed and fantastic views out over the mature gardens to the sea; very large twin bedroom with garden views and sea glimpses; single bedroom with garden views and sea glimpses; shower room; separate WC; family bathroom.
The house is surrounded by mature, tranquil and spacious gardens, mainly laid to lawn. The driveway can accommodate two cars and there is additional unrestricted parking on the road.
The iconic pebble beach at Budleigh is a gentle 5 minute stroll, as is the town centre which houses many independent clothes, gift and food shops and a good election of cafes and bakeries. Budleigh Salterton’s beach ends at the estuary of the River Otter – a haven for wildlife and birds, with the UK’s first reintroduced beaver population. A short walk up the River Otter leads to Otter Mill – a working mill, which houses a food shop, a café/restaurant serving delicious home-made, locally sourced snacks and meals, and lays on music/entertainment events (subject to Covid restrictions).
Budleigh Salterton is also an ideal base for glorious walks on Woodbury Common and along the South West Coast Path (Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site). Exmouth and Exeter are both an easy car (or bus) journey away.
